The Hoover Commission recommends that Natives be rapidly assimilated and integrated into mainstream society by detribalizing, revoking federal recognition of tribes. The Hoover Commission recommends removal of all Indian lands from trust status, the repeal of the IRA, and the outlawing of 100 tribal constitutions.
